OVERVIEW:
Jack is a particularly odd person, some say mysterious, or hope it, he never is sure, but he just has to keep a lot of secrets. No one can know he's a vampire, everyone must think his family is his actual family, he has to pretend he's a teenager again, and he is not supposed to make contact or feed off humans. He doesn't exactly follow this last rule to the letter, but he's never killed anyone. He has more control than that.
Before he was a vampire he was a ladies man, to a point. Depended on what lady you were. When he was growing up there was not a young pretty woman at court who could say they hadn't been with Jack for a bit. They tried to reign him in by making him marry that annoying woman. Everything she was he hated, and now he sees it in other people and cringes. She was the Princess of Monaco, and dammit, he had to treat her like one. Eventually he just moved and went back to his normal life.
When he was created into a Vampire, most of that stayed, but it wasn't quite as usual as before. He generally used it to get vicitms, to eat. He became more rational, thought differently then he did when he was a lusty human. Though most of said rational thoughts were only to protect himself. There was nothing really left for him to feel he needed to protect. And he has a protective nature, thus, he protected himself.
When they were all invited to go to Hogwarts, and were seperated into houses, Jack felt he knew exactly why he was in Slytherin. Besides the vampire thing. He was lustful, calculative, generally about himself, his family, and he would be willing to sacrifice anything for them. He was also a sly person. He liked to know things before other people did. And he had learned how to read people so he could learn it without them knowing. Telepathy doesn't always help. Just gives you random thoughts and memories. He fit in with the Slytherin crowd nicely he thought. Thus, he found it was a good place for him to be.

OVERVIEW:
Jacques François Léonor Goyon de Matignon was born as the Count of Thorigny, as his father had died a few months before his birth, and his mother has went to be a nun after his birth. He was raised by hand picked nurses and teachers, who brought him up in the manner that was to make him the perfect child. One that is intelligent, handsome, and a good Count. They never thought to make him god-fearing however. Thus, he grew up believing he was kind of, overly special. It also gave him a bit of an ego and made him quite sure of himself. Helped his status actually.
When he went to court of France, he was automatically named the "Ladies Man" of court. Many tried to tie him down, or get the King to order a marriage out of him, but he never made a mistake. Never accidently got a girl with child, so he could never be forced into anything. Until he was 26, and he was offered the hand of 18 year old Louise Hippolyte, and the King ordered it of Jaques. He could not refuse an order, and on October 20, 1715, Jaques married Louise, Princess of Monaco, and was elevate to the title, and thus his name changed to "Jacques Grimaldi I, Prince of Monaco". He didn't object to such an honourary title, but he did object to her.
Unfortunatly, he was not allowed to leave her bed, or her his until he got her with child. That took almost a year and a a half. Finally, when he was 28, his first son, Antoine Charles, was born, and he was healthy. Jaques went out to celebrate it, in the beer related fashion, and met a beautiful woman there. She was pale, almost non-possibly so, but she just had to look at you, and your knees would go weak. Now why couldn't he have married that. Being the man he was, he obviously went and tried to get her attention. He found it very easy, as basically she had been wanting him to do that.
She lead him out of the celebration and took him to her room, where instead of getting what he thought he was going to get, Jaques was bit hard in the neck, no mercy at all, and nearly sucked dry. Minutes before death she let go, and sliced a part of her shoulder, putting his lips to the blood that now poured quickly out. He rememebered drinking it, a good amount of it, before he was pulled off and thrown on the floor with more strength any woman he'd ever met had. All he really remembered was a whole lot of pain, and then blacking out.
He woke up feeling... new. It was morning. His eyes could see better, he could smell everything in the garden he now lay in, everything was sharper. Sitting up quickly, and jumping to his feet with a spryness he only rememebered having as a child, he ran to his rooms where he stared at the mirror there. The image portrayed back at him showed he was pale, his eyes were brighter, the place where he should have a bite mark, there was no sign of one, and after a few seconds, he realized that he looked younger. Years younger, and all his scars and sometime pain places, where all gone. He then also noticed his heart wasn't beating. He panicked for a bit, all morning or so, and then raced to his wife and new son's room.
His wife was still resting, and his son was next to her. He went and stood over them, staring at them, until visions started to cloud his head. He fought them for a moment, thinking he was getting a headache, until he saw his own face looking at him in these visions. He was looking back at himself in a loving manner. He soon realized he was watching Louise's dream. Through telepathy. He watched as it basically showed him how she longed for his attention. An attention he could never bring himself to give her.
When he sat down on the bed beside her to rub his head and tried to ignore the images in his head, she stirred beside him, carefully making sure not to move or jostle her new born child. She took one look at him, and all she thought was "Oh my lord, he looks like hell is living within him." And then she asked him if he was sick. What a great thing to hear before you get the nice question. He shook his head, and told her he had to leave for Versailles the next day. He knew almost automatically by her thoughts she was unhappy by the thought of him gone. The telepathy made it easier for him to reassure her it was only for a short as he could make it. Then he went, told his servants to pack his things, and made arrangements to leave. He came to his wife and child shortly before leaving and kissed them both good bye.
And he made for Versailles. He was there not even three months, living off whores generally, when he was notified his son had died. February 24, 1718. He just dropped dead. Jacques made to go straight home, and the second he arrived he was engulfed by his wife, who was begging him not to strike her for giving him an heir not strong enough to live. Her grief was driving into his head and it drove him to pity her a bit. He comforted her for a bit, went to that bloody annoying funeral, where everyone but him seemed to be crying, and reassured her they would have plenty of children, and one of them would be a good strong heir.
Sooner or later he got her with child again, and he had to stay through the pregnancy for dictatorial reasons, and he soon found he could live off normal food, though they kept him weak. Out came Charlotte Therese Nathalíe on March 19, 1719. Sweet little thing she turned out to be, and she had a fabulous memory. It was like she was born with her eyes open, and connected things with words immediately. Someone could say "father" and up in her little mind would pop up an image of him, and this was at a very young age. He think he spent too much time with her, though.
Honoré Camille Léonor came next, on December 16, 1720. Finally a son that would live. He was a strong baby boy, and showed the exact same memory patterns as Charlotte before him. It was this that sent Jacques away again. He needed to see what half vampires turned into after a bit. He traveled for a bit, and accidently bumped into a vampire named Djimon. He explained to him, after becoming well aquainted, that half vampires simply had a better than normal memory, sharper teeth, and better reflexes. That was all. They were also more difficult to kill, but could still be killed by sicknesses if they were strong enough. Super human basically. Relaxed, Jacques stayed with him for a bit, and learned how to survive around humans properly.
He soon returned to annoying worried wife, and felt a little better about creating more children. He had promised her lots of children anyway. He had noticed however, that his favorite daughter was rather obsessed with the Catholic faith. Might be normal for a child, with the fascinating stories, but it irked him a little. On January 1, 1722, out popped Charles. Then on July 15, 1724, Louise Francisca was born, and two years after her, François-Charles on February 4, 1726, then Charles-Maurice on May 14, 1727 Louise Francisca Therese on July 20, 1728. And that's when they figured it was time to stop.
And then another child died. Louise Francisca. She was only five years old, caught neumonia. They didn't recognize it as that before, but Jacques recognizes it as that now. September 15, 1729, she died in their arms. Little Louise, she had always been a happy child, right until the end. After her burial, Jacques went away again to go live with Djimon again. During this journey, he recieved a letter from his wife, telling him that his eldest daughter, Charlotte, had taken her vows, and was going to spend the rest of her life as a nun. This was horrible for Jacques, as she was only ten at the time. It also meant it would be next to impossible for him to see her. At all.
Upon arrival at Djimon's now perminant estate in Versailles, he met his new wife, Jira. Sweet woman. She knew what they were going to have to do with his life, and tried to make him happy while he was away. When he went out with her at night, and other such things, he could see people whispering, and he knew gossip would go back to his wife and be blown into something like an affair. He really didn't care. Jira was like a sister to him, that's all that really mattered. Just that he knew what she was to him. He stayed a couple years with them.
He was notified April 4, 1731 that his wife had moved from Paris to Monaco, and was given a grand welcome. Good for her. Djimon convinced him to move there as well. It took about a month, but eventually he got up and left, as he usually did. His arrival in Monaco, though as a prince, was unannounced, and thus, there was no grand welcome. The people in the palace were surprised of his arrival late at night, saying they could have his room ready in minutes. He told them not to bother. Instead he had them show him to his wife's room, where he asked not to be disturbed. She was awake oddly enough, and she looked horrible. Small pox had started to show on her body. She saw him and asked him to stay away, didn't want him sick, but he wouldn't let her tell him to go away. His wife was dying, if he could make her last bit of time more comfortable, he'd do what he could. The most of which was just generally lying in bed with her and telepathically making her forget momentarily all the pain, so that she was able to rest and sleep. It elongated her life longer than the doctors thought his presence was.
On December 15, 1731, Louise Hippolyte finally took her last breath. Jacques was holding her when she did. She was asleep, and suddenly she wasn't bleeding. He went and got a physician and priest to do their thing, pronounce her dead and such. During the announcement of her death, one of the sevants who had noticed throughout the entire time he was actually trying to help throughout his life, and left because of his children dying. She told him that the majority of the population of Monaco believed he killed their Princess, not helped. It made it impossible for him to make any choises in the state of affairs, and thus, he was chased out in May 1732 because he was seen as unfit to rule. In 1733, he begged the council there to recognize his eldest son as his successor. He added for his wife's sake, and Honoré Camille Léonor became the next prince of Monaco.
And the Jacques dissapeared into Djimon's house in Versailles, and then to visit his children, the Hôtel des Invalides, which was later named after him, the now famous Hôtel Matignon, which is today the official residence of the Prime Minister of France. He's very proud of that. And though his son was the new Prince of Monaco, he spent many of his time with Jacques at the hotel. Heck, even Djimon and Jira came to live there with him after awhile. There they would talk about the affairs of Monaco, and actually came up with some good idea occasionally to make life better there. It kept Honoré as a Prince for so long.
Eventually his children started to realize he never aged, and confronted him about it. After consulting Djimon about it, he told them what he was, and thus what that made all of them. They accepted it rather well, actually. He never told them that he would live for what could be forever, or how old exactly Djimon was [then 176 years old], but it did help when he told them that one day he would have to fake his own death. Somehow, after that, none of them ever feared death.
And they didn't. When they got sick, they knew their father was there for them, and to make them feel better. In this manner, he was there for Louise Francisca Therese, his youngest, when she died on June 20, 1743. Then for Charles on August 24, 1749. It was then his last two surviving children, Honoré Camille Léonor and Charles-Maurice, decided it was time for him to die. So, on April 23, 1751, Jacques pretended to die. He even went through the entire ceremony listening to a Priest explaining his life in a manner he didn't really remember, but sounded really boring. He was glad his life wasn't like that. There was a "private" family "burial" where they buried an empty box, and sneaked him out. Nobody ever noticed.
They changed his name after that. And dropped his titles, though he would always be proud he carried them at some point in his life. Jacques François Leonor Grimaldi, Prince de Monaco, Duc de Valentinois, to simply Jack [the english form of his name] Grimiore [in honor of the Grimaldi family, whom he actually did love] Bluud [to make himself part of Djimon's family]. He was like a brother to Djimon and Jira, and they were glad to welcome him into their family.
He watched his last two children's life carefully. They both got married, and at least Charles-Maurice had a happy life, and died at a good age of 71 years old on January 18, 1798. Honoré did not have such a good life. He was imprisoned on September 20, 1793, and Jack never saw him again. He was told he died on March 21, 1795, and had written him a letter, which people took for him being crazy, as it said not to worry about not being there at his death. He knew he was loved. It was put down as last minute hallucinations, and that he was not always insane. Finally, Jack was the last of his direct family, except for the two grandchildren he had, and their children. He still watches his family.
For the rest of his long life, he stayed with Djimon and Jira, finding young vampires who had lives like his, or just needed help, to their family. They went through a few, before they got several ones, quite a bit younger than Jack, even when they died, to stay with them. They were a family together.
In the beginning of the 1900 century, they were approached by the Minister of Magic. They had known of the peaceful vampire's coven for a while now, just as the Bluud's had known of Magical people's existance. They had just never actually talked to each other before. They were in the midst of reclassifying who were beasts, and who were beings. From the Bluud's influence, that Vampire's could co exist without harm, they were newly classified as a being, or a sub class of human. This made some speicies shy away from changing thier status, as many Vampire's are hated, but one has to start somewhere.
Thus they lived in coexistance with both muggles and witches and wizards. Always in the middle, until eight years ago. A new breakthrough showed that Vampires could actually do magic like witches and wizards, and the Bluud's were offered the chance to go to Hogwarts and learn in the new year. There was another family that was also offered this. The D'eath family or something like that. They all agreed they would love to try, and they were brought to school a little while later.
Jack was sorted into Slytherin. He wasn't really surprised, it kinda did fit the personality he had worked up. Due to his knowing of everything, Jack suddenly became the king Slytherin. He guess it payed to be in a room with some famous people and befriending them. He's actually enjoying this school thing.
